On Friday 14th April, 11am-1pm, we are having a Walk of Prayer and Witness, using what are called the Stations of the Cross, from the top of Lord's Wood down to Lord's Hill Church.
You are invited to join us for some or all of the Walk, or to join us at the Station/stopping point most convenient for you. You may even bring your dog along if you have one!
The Stations of the Cross are a way of following Jesus from his condemnation to death by Pilate to his death and burial. Traditionally there are 14 stations, where those following that Stations stop, look at the picture, hear some words of Scripture and share in prayer, before moving on in silence to the next Station.
The point of our walk is to increase our own faith, by following something of the journey of Jesus to the Cross, but it is also a way for us to pray for some of the parts of our Parish of Lord's Hill and Lord's Wood, and for us to bear witness to the love of God to those around us.
