Welcoming new members to our church family through baptism is a very special and joyous time for us.

If you live in either Lord's Hill or Lord's Wood, we warmly invite you to approach us about being baptised yourself or having your child baptised.

To decide to be baptised (otherwise known as 'christened') is one of the most important decisions that you ever make for yourself or for your child.

In being baptised you become a child of God, an inheritor of the Kingdom of Heaven and a member of the Church.

This brings with it the support and fellowship of many many others who share the Christian faith - a support that is there for you for your whole life. But it also brings responsibilities - to love God and to worship Him with the rest of your church family, to tell others about Him and to help those in need.

We will talk through these things with you, before you decide whether it is the right commitment for you yourself or for you to make on behalf of your child.

We very much hope and pray that you will choose to join us.

Please use our 'Contact Us' webpage to get in touch with us.

Thanksgiving

We also offer a Service of Thanksgiving in which we thank God for the safe birth of your new baby and we bless both your baby and the whole of your family together.

Weddings

Weddings are one of life's big occasions - the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment to another person.  And it is always our joy when couples wish God to bless them as they start on this new path.

Although our church building is modern and multi-purpose, it is licensed for weddings.  So if you would like your special day to take place in a location at the heart of the Lord's Hill community, please do ask us how to make this happen.  We are also able to offer use of the church building for the reception afterwards.

Alternatively, residents of Lord's Hill and Lord's Wood can choose to get married at St John's Church in Rownhams, with the vicar of St. John's Church conducting the service.

Please use our 'Contact Us' webpage to get in touch with us either to find out more or to explore with him possible ways forward if you are divorced and are seeking a new marriage.

Funerals

Losing a family member or friend is always a difficult time. It is our privilege to be asked to offer you pastoral support and to pray for you and yours when you are grieving. Our Licensed Lay Ministers are able to conduct funerals either in church or at the crematorium.
